Swim Team

The Lone Oak Sharks swim team started 50 years ago and we are so excited to be back at our home pool. Come be a part of our team this summer— all kids and teens 18 and under who can swim the length of the pool can join us. The Lone Oak Sharks work to create an environment of personal improvement, while helping each other develop as athletes and people. Practices are separated in two different groups.

 

Practice Hours

Ages 11+

Morning Practice: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM

Team Meets

The team will compete in meets on Wednesday afternoon/evenings. Meets begin at 5 pm with warmups starting at 4 pm for home meets and 4:30 pm for away meets.

The final meet of the season is the Blue Grass Swim Conference Championships held on a Monday in early July. Youngers will swim the morning session (approximately 7 am – 12 pm) and olders will swim the afternoon session (approximately 1 pm – 6 pm).

Cost

Cost is $185 + tax for your first swimmer. $135 + tax for each additional swimmer. Fees include your team shirt and cap. Families who register at least 1 swimmer for the swim team get $50 off their pool membership.

Season

Practices start the Tuesday after Memorial day and the season ends with the Blue Grass Swim Conference Championship on a Monday in early July. Our league limits our team size to 100 swimmers. We would love to have you join us this summer! 🦈

Mini Sharks

Minis Sharks is our learn to swim program for children age about 4-6. The program runs 5 weeks, from early June to early July practicing Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings from 10:45am-11:15am.The goal of the program is getting your child comfortable in the water and hopefully swimming the length of the pool at a home swim meet by the end of the season. Cost is $185 (sibling discount is $135). Limited to 16 swimmers to keep Coach to child ratio low. Registration is now open here.
